🌙”But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth”🌙 -1 John 3:17-18
What a powerful scripture, my goodness!
Amen! You know, sometimes we feel that we don’t have enough to spare to anyone because we lack so much ourselves? food clothing money and even advice.
We work so hard for what? just to give it up to someone whos not paying us for it? sounds a bit harsh right? We’ve become so materialistic in this world that we forget that none of it really matter and all things are tempory.
So we build attachments. Attachments to the things we’ve worked so hard for and we become afraid to let go. But that’s the thing, that right there is the secert..letting go.
Losing attachments to our earthly possessions bring us more in return and the act of giving will set us free. This world has become so selfish and many don’t know the meaning of being selfless. Selflessness means; being concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than with one’s own; unselfish.
No, I am not saying that you should give up everything because a person asks it of you. It is true that some will take your kindness for weakness and look to take advantage of you. let your heart and intuition guide you when making a decision when giving to others.
Most of us seen a homeless person on the side of the street. Our fellow brother and most of us walk right past him as if he’s not there. and even if we did not have the money to give, why not at least lend an ear?
Sometimes all a person really needs is for someone to talk to. Notice that they are even there, noticing their existence. For all we know, we could learn a few things because none of us are perfect.
Our Sister just lost her mother. The one person that she had in her life, is now gone. shes grieving, our sister is depressed beyond measure and now she feels like she has no one. How hard is it to call/ text her? or even ask her if she would like some company on a night out and even a walk through the park just to listen to her speak and empathize with her?
🌞”Love one another and help others to rise to the higher levels, simply by pouring out love. Love is infectious and the greatest healing energy.”🌞
Maybe that’s what she needed..to know that even though her mother is gone there is still someone whos willing to listen and try to understand instead of just listening to respond.
I know we’ve all had that one person in school who had no friends barely any family around and couldn’t afford a meal at lunch we didn’t really pay it no mind or care because it was their situation, not ours.
I’m guilty of it myself but just imagine that little boy or little girls happiness knowing that even if he/she were suffering at home they still had someone who would look out for them once they got to school that morning. Imagine how you would feel knowing that you were the cause of that permanent smile of theirs and you get to experience every day now for being an angel in someones else’s life. That’s a wondrous feeling ❤
Trust me I get it. We’re busy most of the time. We have our own lives to live so we don’t care about others people problems and sufferings but our own. Do we ever stop to think what if that were me? what if I was homeless needed a little cash, some water, clean clothes or just someone to talk to and others just walked by as if we’re not even there. How would it feel?
What if we were to lose a close one and no one else cared and left us to deal on our own. Our communities are suffering because most of the wealthy leave and don’t come back to give. They don’t come back to help the rest of us grow. The old saying the richer keeps getting rich and the poorer continue to get poor applies here and that’s because we refuse to give back and the rest of us suffer because of it.
listen, my fellow brothers and sisters. this is our world, and it is what we make it. If we continue to turn a blind eye to others in need then the world we live will continue to suffer as it is now. There is plenty in this world to go around for all of us. The more we give the more we receive back.
But the question then becomes, who are we to expect anything back for doing a good deed in the first place? That’s Grace, my friends. Give back. #Blessing 🌞
